Welcome to my corner of the wellness world! I’m Sara Knight, a dedicated health coach with a unique background as a Family Medicine Physician Assistant. My journey into health coaching is deeply rooted in my passion for complete well-being and my extensive experience in clinical medicine. I am a certified physician assistant, trained at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and I earned my health coaching certification through the National Society of Health Coaches (NSHC).
My Story
With more than 10 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in family medicine, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with patients of all ages and backgrounds, helping them navigate their health challenges and achieve their wellness goals. This experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of health and the importance of a personalized approach to care.
During my medical career, I have noticed that while conventional medicine is essential, many people need additional support to make lasting lifestyle changes. I have seen firsthand that true health is not just the absence of disease but the presence of vitality, balance, and well-being. This realization inspired me to start my journey as a health coach, with a focus on empowering individuals to take charge of their health in a more holistic and supportive way.
Outside of health coaching and working part-time in family medicine, you'll find me biking, hitting the ski slopes, or hiking with my dog in the foothills. My daughter and I enjoy an active lifestyle and make the most of every moment together. My approach to my own health is all about balance and enjoying life to the fullest.
